Sara DiOrazio is a New York–based abstract artist whose work explores the tension between refinement and disruption. Rooted in minimalism and the raw beauty of imperfection, her paintings investigate resilience, memory, and transformation through disciplined composition and intentional color.
Drawing from fashion, architecture, movement, and the energy of New York, DiOrazio creates work that is both structured and instinctive, elegant yet unapologetic. Her canvases function as studies in contrast: control and release, silence and saturation, grit and glamour.
Influenced by Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, Salvador Dalí, and Egon Schiele, DiOrazio approaches painting as an act of trust. Instinct guides gesture while discipline shapes the final form.
DiOrazio holds a BFA in Studio Arts and Advertising Design from Syracuse University. She lives and works in New York.
